The Wonder Of Youth - Part III

I am having trouble with my scout. Send him off to far flung places and he will find the odd gem for you, although I have to say that taking a punt on a random Bosman has proven to be more successful.

Where he falls down is the Youth setting. I have tried throughout the year and he has yet to deliver. Best thing is to search for those 17 year olds as described earlier and bid for them.

Pushing On

I am at an awkward point in my managerial career. Southampton have the best side in their history with strikers capable of getting in the top 5 in the league and we win a cup every year. However, the highest I can finish is 5th.

I have tried changing the formation but I still get my best results with 5-3-2 Attack and passing set to direct.

It would appear some clubs are just not destined for greatness...

Sugar Daddy

A lot has been made on some of the other forums about the Sugar Daddy. If you stay with a club a number of years and win a number of Trophies then mystery consortium come in and splash the cash.

I got this feature after 14 years at Southampton and winning the UEFA and FA Cup in the same season. Needless to say I was excited at the prospect and gave the move my backing (you can decline their approach).

What I was shocked to see was that when it came to transfers I really haven't noticed much difference. I think I got £15m more which is hardly the stuff of dreams. So far I have spent all of the money in a hope of getting more but no sign of additional funds.
